6th Grade Humanities
Here I will be posting humanities work I do through out 6th grade. Throughout the year so far we have worked on one big project called the perspectives project. In the perspectives project, we did an I am poem, an I-Search Paper, and An action plan. For our action plan, we created a movie.
Perspectives Project:
In humanities we have been working on a project focused on learning different perspectives. These perspectives are based on different grade levels and their perspective. For example, kindergardeners might be fighting over a toy, while 8th graders might be fighting over what they wear. The grade I am focused on is my own, 6th. The 6th grade group concluded that 6th graders might judge each other by sport. Such as, what team the root for, what sport they actually play, what sport they watch, what kind of jerseys they wear (if you could at school), etc. Then we launched a survey that concluded are analysis was mostly correct, but some people judged in other ways, or didn't at all. After the survey, we went on line and looked for websites that talked about 6th grade arguments. Then we posted them on a document shared with all the members of the 6th grade group. Next we will go through the websites and choose the best ones. That is what we have done so far in our Perspectives Project.
