- In this project, we learned all about quadratics and how it applies in the real world. It started with us learning about the different forms, and as we kept moving, we learned all about how to convert from form to form, how to find x and y intercepts, and near the end, we even made our own notecards telling people all about the quadratics behind a topic of our choice.
- More specifically, the quadratic notecard is a notecard that we made to tell people all about the quadratics behind a certain topic. My topic was music production, and how soundwaves and quadratics can be seen within it. I found out all about what the equations are behind sound waves, and how parabolas can be seen within them. As I learned more about the math behind it, I also learned more about soundwaves in general, and how sound works.
- Overall I really enjoyed making my notecard. I think that I learned a lot, and it was definitely more fun learning it like this versus doing a bunch of handouts. I also think that I learned more about soundwaves in general, and will learn about the topics other people chose as well. Making the notecard was the easiest part, but actually figuring out the math and how the graphs should look was the hardest part.
