Projects
Seismic Outreach Project, Math/Science (Contractor)
During this project our class got to build a building out of k'nex to test its durability to an earthquake. We had a couple different models but came up with a steady and safe structure in the end. From this project I learned how to construct a building that can with stand an earthquake using a shake table and the different types of waves (S waves, P waves, and Surface waves)
For this project I mostly was the contractor, so I built the overall design, but I was also sometimes the engineer to help with the design. Below I have a video of how our building turned out. The only reason we failed is because A live load fell off, and apparently that means "Someones would have died".
Greek Mythology, Humanities (Athens, Greece)
For this project we focused on Greek Mythology, and all the gods & goddesses. I was the city Athens for my city/state. Athens made a banner representing their city/state and performed plays for the other city/states of Greece. I found this project really fun and learned a lot from it. I didn't know a single god i goddess, except for maybe Zeus, before this project.
I also learned all the myth story's, such as Hercules labors, all of Pursues battles, and my favorite, The great inventor Daedalus and his son Icarus. I really liked this myth because I liked the Ideas that he had, and the moral of how your not supposed to do things for fame or for fortune. We also made our own myth. Mine was about Emeralds Treasure, a treasure people have been looking for, for ages. Legend has it that Dionysus and Hypnos (god of hypnosis) had a fight and it didn't turn out so well.

Holocaust Project, Digital Arts
For this project, We created a soundscape to represent the Holocaust. Basically, a soundscape is a song or music that represents something through its sounds. I really liked this project because we got to learn so much about the Holocaust and make our own soundscape to show at exhibition.
I learned a lot about the Holocaust through this project such as How Nazi Germany killed nearly 6 million people around the work through concentration camps, gas chambers, and other cruel ways. It was a sad time in 1930-1940 because manny people were sent to the ghettos to be killed. Our project was based around a butterfly, and we called it "I never saw another butterfly" because a young poet wrote this to stay alive in the ghettos. At his old home, he saw a butterfly everyday, but in the ghettos, he never saw another butterfly. Below is my soundscape.
