Mau and I also made a video summarizing our time here, to see that click here. Overall, I think that this project was really important because I learned a lot of valuable skills that I wouldn't have had the chance to learn at school. The process Mau and I went through to finish our tasks at E-Rehab was very quantifiable, at least in terms of Google Reviews. We had to finish a certain amount of reviews in a certain time period, and we completed that. All in all I really enjoyed my time here and am excited for next years internship to come around.

I think that internship helped me realize a lot about what I want to do for (and after) college. Although I didn’t do everything that was originally planned for me, I still got to experience a bit of what it's like to work in an office. I like the office atmosphere because It is quiet, and provides a nice place to get uninterrupted work done. I think that is very important when it comes to a company like E-Rehab, because they really pride themselves on their work. They need to live up to their own, and their customers expectations. Another thing I like about the office atmosphere is how everybody that you may need to talk to is in really close proximity. That also seems super important for a company like E-Rehab because a lot of the work they do is collaborative, and needs to be worked on by multiple people at once. That's exactly why Mau and I shared the same project.
There are many people at my internship that seem highly qualified to be working here, and I learned a lot about the steps I need to take from them. They have people here from all walks of life, and even a couple other high school interns/part-time workers. I think that I can take something from each and every one of them. John, the manager, went to Cal Poly SLO for business, and he then created this company with his friend Dave. I think that going to Cal Poly SLO is a cool, but something that I feel I can learn from even more is when he started the company. I think that taking a risk and starting something like that is really impressive, and takes a lot of knowledge and background on the topic for it to be successful. Something that I want to do, whether it be out of college, in college, or even before, is start my own business. I think that I can learn a lot from the steps that John, Dave, and many others took to get to where I want to be. For my own preparation for college, I have been doing a lot to get ready, but have mainly been focused on the SAT. I am aiming to increase my score right now for the August SAT, and if I am able to do that, I should be in good shape. Other things that I have been doing are, obviously internship, but also working different jobs, playing sports, and trying to do other extracurriculars outside of school. l |
