I have self advocated for myself here at E-Rehab a lot in the past two weeks or so. I have made sure to stay on top of my work, and get done what needed to get done. I know how important of a skill self advocacy can be, so I made sure to be on top of everything. I have advocated for myself by asking for help when I needed it, and making sure that Sue, John, or whoever else I am working with is up to date on my work. Earlier today, Mau and I realized that a couple clients review pages didn’t look like they were supposed to, so we made a list of those clients and gave them to Sue to review. Some of the clients had already received emails that they shouldn’t have, so it was really important that we get that issue cleared as fast as possibly. Luckily, Sue has the html team working on it, and it was a potential situation avoided. That is one example of how I have been self advocative of my work here at E-Rehab.
I read the article on “How to be an intern everyone remembers”, and I have been putting into action those steps. Most importantly, I have been remembering to take notes whenever I go into any meetings or important conversations, which has saved me a lot of time and headache when getting started on my tasks. I’ve also been getting to know my colleagues, and actually had a really easy time remembering all of their names, and the roles that they play. That has helped me a lot when asking questions, and knowing who to talk to to get stuff done. We are supposed to get to the office at 9, but I have been showing up around 8:30 - 8:45 every day just to make sure I’m on time, since traffic can be unpredictable some days. This has helped me relieve a lot of the stress of being late, and I can even leave early some days because I have been clocking in early. Since the dress code and the environment is really casual here, I have also been dressing pretty casual to match. I think that if I come to work comfortably than I can get the most amount of distraction free work done. Lastly, I have always been making sure that I have plenty of work to due, and don’t go too long without doing something. Right now I have been very busy with adding google reviews, but once Mau and I are finished with that I will have plenty of other things to work on.

Great example of how your self advocation helped the company in a way that without this could have been a problem. Also great job of getting to our internship on time and always having something to do. Overall great job and I look forward to hearing more.
